Magnum Life Malaysia

Magnum Life

One of the games in the portfolio of Magnum Corporation, Magnum Life is a standard numerical game. This makes it different from the other entries in the portfolio of the organization – Magnum 4D, 4D Jackpot, Magnum 4D Jackpot Gold and Magnum 4D Gold.

Malaysia’s Magnum Corporation has been around since 1968. It became the first entity to get a government license for the operation of 4D games. Upon the launch of the original Magnum 4D Classic, various other entries were created by popular demand. Magnum Life is one of them.

Magnum Life Rules

Becoming a Magnum Life winner is a simple task – you need to choose eight numbers from a pool of 36 and match them to the respective numbers drawn. Single entry into this lottery costs one ringgit, but variations do exist.

Players can either play for their own set of numbers or opt for Lucky Pick – a situation in which the eight numbers on the ticket will be chosen randomly by the software. For every single drawing, there will be eight main numbers and two additional numbers drawn. They’ll be determining for the top prize and the additional Magnum Life prize tiers.

Apart from the standard play (also known as straight play), there is also a system entry.

The Magnum Life system consists of nine or more numbers. When these are chosen, all possible combinations of eight numbers will be generated. Thus, a Magnum Life system can result in more than one prize, and it also increases the odds of winning.

A system entry of nine costs nine ringgits to submit. The biggest possible system consists of 15 numbers, and the price of entry is 6,435 ringgits.

Magnum Life has three drawings per week – on Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday. Depending on the week, a special additional drawing may be announced. Whenever such a drawing occurs, it will be scheduled on a Tuesday.

The game is characterized by an interesting prize structure and multiple tiers. The odds of winning are favorable in comparison to other numerical games. These are some of the reasons why Magnum Life is popular among players.

To participate, players have to be aged 21 or older as per Malaysian regulations. Tickets can be acquired from licensed retail venues on any given day. Sales close at 7 p.m. on the days when a drawing is scheduled to take place. At the time being, Magnum Life fans cannot acquire tickets online. If you are in a foreign country, you currently cannot partake in Malaysian lotteries. The Magnum games are available to non-citizens who currently reside in Malaysia.

Magnum Life Prizes

The Magnum Life prize structure is probably one of the most interesting characteristics of the game. It sets Magnum Life apart from other jackpot-style lotteries. If you match eight numbers, you will win 1,000 ringgits per day for the coming 20 years.  Here’s a table that will give you a more detailed overview of the Magnum Life prize structure:

Prize Tier Numbers to Match Prize (RM)
Jackpot (grand prize) 8 1,000 per day for 20 years
2 7 + 1 1,000 per day for 100 days
3 7 6,000
4 6 + 1 600
5 6 100
6 5 + 1 30
7 5 10
8 4 + 1 5

If there are more than four jackpot winners for the respective drawing, the total amount equivalent of four grand prizes will be divided equally among all those who have matched the prize tier. For the prize categories from third to eighth, there is a payout limit of five million ringgits.

This may seem too good to be true, but it isn’t. Magnum Corporation guarantees the 20-year payout via online transfers through one of the major Malaysian banks. The payments will take place every single day until the terms of the prize are fulfilled.

If something happens to the winner (unexpected death) and there is still sum to be paid out, it will be provided to heirs in the form of a lump sum. There is a similar condition that applies to the payment of the second prize.

Anyone who has won the grand prize will need to get in touch with Magnum Corp. to discuss the conditions of receiving the daily payments. A second prize winner should visit the respective state office to begin the payout immediately.

The first and the second prize winners cannot opt for a lump sum payment instead of the daily installments described in the rules of the lottery.

All of the other Magnum Life prizes can be collected either at a Magnum state office (the addresses are available on the official Magnum website) or at an authorized retail venue. The payment is immediate and provided in the form of a cash sum.

Prize claims can occur on the business day following the day of the drawing. Winners have six months from the drawing date to collect the respective amount. If a player is late, the Magnum Life payment will become impossible, and the sum will be added to the fund that Magnum dedicates to supporting charitable initiatives.

Magnum Life prizes, just like other lottery sums in Malaysia are freed from an income tax. The sum that’s being advertised is the exact amount that the player will receive.
